Ok, never biked before with a baby - she's 10 weeks now - is it best to wait a bit longer till she can sit and hold her head up for the back of bike seat or should I look at yard sales for one of those trailers to pull her in. Also, haven't checked out a bike shop but do they even make a helmet that small for babies? If you suggest trailer, is it better to have sibling in with her so they can tend to her? Also, with trailer - how is the safetiness of it - obviously where I live I would have to go to a park to ride but there would still be cars and want to keep kids/baby safe.

Thanks,
Cathleen.

hey cathleen,

according to the manuals, they recommend that i babe be able to sit unsupported. i'm sure i biked with both my girls before that though, but waited until they could sit up with some support and had very good head and neck control. this means probably waiting for maybe another month or so. we have a burley d'lite and LOVE it. i have two kids and my oldest is 4 1/2 and still fits in the burley. i know other folks who have bike seats and like them, but from my knowledge, the trailers are safer. if you fall, they don't. best of luck!

Autumn,

I knew you would know. thanks I figured I needed to wait a bit longer for head control and ability to sit up.
