Enrico Contolini aka 'smeeko' heading up a section of bt that is getting a much needed face-lift. He will be writing for the 'Run' section. His first article will be out this November 1st! Here is his bio:
My name is Enrico Contolini. I am a 32 years old Electrical Engineer, originally from Italy. I have lived in the United States since 1996. I am now married to an American woman and we have 3 wonderful children. I work as an electrical engineer and I also own a home-based business that provides translations between English and Italian to companies and privates throughout North America. My real love is sports. I started running with my dad when I was about 7 years old. For the past 2 years I have raced in sprint triathlon here in Colorado.
In May of 2003 I have also obtained the ACE Personal Trainer Certification (www.acefitness.org). I was planning on obtaining the Level One triathlon Coaching Certification this fall (www.usatriathlon.org), but due to unemployment and limited budget this year I decided to postpone it. Below are some of my racing accomplishments throughout the years. 2003 has been a tough year for my family and I and my racing has suffered from that. We look forward to a more peaceful time in the months to come and as a consequence a more normal training schedule and some great race results in 2004. I am thinking of moving to longer triathlon distances and improve my ½ Marathon time.
I am grateful to Beginnertriathlete.com for giving me the opportunity to write for them. I will do my best to share with you what I know about running, triathlon, nutrition, etc.
You can always welcome to send me an email or contact me with your questions.
