I have weird schedule as well,,,, I don't think there is anyting wrong with training when you can fit it into your schedule wheather it is in the moring or night. I often eat my final meal at midnight, but I usually go to sleep between 2 and 3 in the morning.

Depending on what I am planning on doing when I work out late, I try to adjust my food intake so that I am not trying to digest heavy foods when I go to the gym. I will have a pb&j sanwhich an hour or so before going to the gym, I may take a smothie with protein powder and ceratene in it to drink in the middle of my workout. Then when I get home i'll try to have some kind of protein plus a smoothie or veggie juice.

When it starts getting closer to race day, I will try to adjust my schedule to reflect the race, so that I am not trying to race in the middle of what is usually my sleep time..

Hope this helps.

Jim

I work 6pm to 6am...we are all different in what we eat, when we train, when we sleep... do what works for you. I often have a bowl of hot cereal less than an hour before I go to sleep. I hate waking up hungry. There was a thread a couple of days ago...I think the consensus was that people trying to lose weight shouldn't eat right before bed...but for someone who is very active I don't think it's a big deal.
