Subject: The Things I Don't Miss about Dating!

Okay... this thread is for those of us who are lucky enough to be in a committed and loving relationship. Here are some of the things I do NOT miss about dating.

1. The superficial aspects of getting to know a potential GF.

2. Being judged over and over again for my past.

3. Being judged against every bad example of manhood on the planet because, "you guys are all alike!"

4. Not having 'the old days' to share and laugh about.

5. Not having the trust and love of my wife available for me 24/7.

6. Not having the comforting assurance that I get to grow old with the most wonderful woman on earth.

That's enough to start. I could go on and on since I am the luckiest man on earth having found earthbound angel who would be my wife.

-never being able to be completely vulnerable
-always trying to figure out if we were "on the same page"
-realizing suddenly that a person I thought I dig was kind of a jerk
-stressing out over "who makes the first move" nonsense
-stressing out about which of our friends we'd hang out with
-being made to feel guilty bc I had a policy which said "until we commit, my family is first"
-meeting really cool women who were so screwed up and self-loathing and uncool with their sexuality that their coolness was irrelevant
i could go on and on. but I think I would rather do a POSITIVE thread on this theme, which says, "The things I love about being married!"

Well, since I still date my first wife (we're still married),

I don't miss:
No date==no contact

Skipping something because I didn't have a date.

Nowdays, we usually skip things because we don't have the time or energy, but can still spend time together.
