Pre-race routine:

This is the log of my dog, alex, the 14 year old mutt, who trained for this race, despite arthritis. He has good days and bad days, but unfortunatley this was not a good day for him and he did not finish the race. But a good time was had!..... Had my kibble as usual - added in and extra half rimadyl. Performed ritual patrol of home yard perimeter.

Event warmup:

Mom got a great parking spot, we walked to the race start, had some organic cookie, met some new friends.

Post race

Warm down:

Mom paid a lady to massage me - they picked me up and put me on a table like at the vet - I tried to dodge, but they held me fast. But the needles never came. This nice lady massaged my hips and legs and wow, did that feel good. They took a photo of me by the end, saying I looked so happy. At the end they thought I would go down the old man stairs but I surprised them all with one of my flying victory leaps!
