Nothing special, walked a little and put up with my mom taking a MILLION photos.
Event warmup:

Walking back to the car and back putting all our free munchies and shirts away.

Comments:

I was planning on running this one but at the last minute my mom decided to sign up and I decided to stick with her and encourage her rather than run and leave her going alone...especially since it was a night run in the dark. We had a good time though and we weren't last.
What would you do differently?:

Run, drink a little more ahead of time. I wasn't dehydrated but I was a little thirsty before the race even started...winter really dries you out.
Post race
Warm down:

The long walk back to the car...hey, I walked most of it...how much warm down do I really need?

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Sticking with my mom, thought it was better to encourage her to be active and make sure she had fun than worry about my time.

Event comments:

Things were a little messy because of the snow but considering there was 7" of snow, I'd say they did an excellent job. There was music before the events and it was a pretty festive happy atmosphere. And the event was followed by a party at Tejas.

Performance: Good
Course: Course was out and back in the middle of the road along 50th St. We all joked about running in the middle of traffic. Considering it snowed 7" today, most of the course was relatively clear. The only bad part was towards the end they were telling people to get on the sidewalk (which was covered in a good amount of slush) then letting us get back on the road and then changing their minds again. It was a nice course, a few hills but nothing too bad.
