Power attorney Carl Singley is out as the city school district's lead counselor in a racial

 discrimination lawsuit, a schools spokesman said yesterday.

Singley, a partner with the Philadelphia firm Blank Rome L.L.P., last week admitted that he

had called several white jurors "crackers" shortly after they awarded about $3 million in

damages to four white plaintiffs who sued after they were fired from the district.

The case was heard in federal court.

Singley, a former dean of Temple University's Law School, is black. He concentrates his practice

in the areas of civil litigation and appellate advocacy, legal ethics, government contracts and

 business law, according to Blank Rome's Web site.
