Has anyone else done the U of P online program?  I've finally gotten to the point of wanting to finish school and online seems to be the best option available.  Anyone?

Mostly for reasons of prejudice and protecting my own career, I don't recomend entirely-online degrees if they can conceivably be avoided. I certainly don't know your situation, but I do know undergraduate education, and I recommend interaction with flesh and blood faculty and peers in physical surroundings for most courses of study, particularly upper division undergraduate work.

Yeah, it made reference to some of the news reports I had seen about it.  20-20 I think it was did an expose about a lot of the things covered on the above webpage.  If you need distance learning I would shop around.

What kind of Degree are you looking for?

Many state schools offer online degrees. I would look there.

I'm currently in the Executive MBA program at Ohio State. "Executive" sounds impressive, but all it means is that it is structured so that we are only on campus 3 full days a month. The rest is reading, group projects via email and phone, etc. I'm 2-3 months in and I've been really impressed so far. Many universities are beginning to offer this type of thing for advanced degrees. I don't know your situation, but you may want to look into something similar.

My goal is to finish my associates and then transfer into a brick and mortar and work a degree in sports nutrition.  A good point was brought up about transferability (is that a word?) of credits and that is a huge negative.  The more I read at the uopsucks website the more I plan on telling them thanks but no thanks
