My office looks like a bakery and we stock the kitchen with the junk/candy/cookie aisle from Sams.

I log the stuff that gets brought in and if I eat it or not. I usually don't. Everyone here is overweight, I am not.

Something to think about.

I am lucky and work for a sports nutritional supplement company, so we rarely have fattening stuff around the office. Everyone here ranges from awesome shape to good shape, except for about 3-4 people. Out of the fit people I consider myself on the lower end of the spectrum, and I train 5 days per week, have done more 100k bike rides then I can count, used to race mountain bikes, ride and compete on my horse regularly, weight train 3 days per week, and now am beginning training for my first triathlon. That shows you how fit some of the people here are, though by the end of this tri training, I will be one of the more fit ones. Hence one of the reasons I am here.

I think it's rude for people to give you bad food when they know you are into a fit lifestyle. It is very insecure on their part. I have found that unfit and overweight people who aren't willing to do what it takes to be fit and thin tend to try and get the fit people to be fat so they don't feel so bad when they look at you. It's pathetic reasoning and it always pisses me off.

Gotta figure out a way to outwit these suckers...

Here's one way.....don't be like them and put everything you lay your eyes on in your mouth.  Works great.  Their jealousy will never end, but their attempts to sabotage you will eventually because they'll get tired of wasting their money on things you throw in the trash can where they can see it.

Chocolate covered almonds YUMMIE!! If you don't want them, please send them to me . I actually don't think this is a terribly bad snack food, just don't eat them in one sitting.

Many of my coworkers bring in treats for special occasions and birthdays. I always appreciate the effort they put into it. If I'm hungry, which I usually am, I just eat a *small* portion and thank them. If I'm not hungry, I'll decline politely or maybe take the food back to my desk for later in the day.

Of course, I readily admit that I train to eat. I honestly don't see a conflict with training, eating healthy, and enjoying desserts or treats, as long as I make good food choices overall.

Which, reminds me, I'm out of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I need to stop by the store on the way home.

Nan
