...and we are tri gear junkies.  I don't even want to think about how much money we've plunked down on this sport addiction in the last 10 months!  What's even worse than the fact that we have to buy 2 of almost everything, is that when we started buying gear in April, we bought road bike gear, which we don't really use anymore (shoes, bottles, BIKES).

Not that I'm complaining or anything.  We are enjoying every minute of this!  Most ordinary people spend this kind of money on cigarettes, gambling, or loose women (shutup Haley!)  I just have to shake my head sometimes, that's all.

Well, next time you're on a "two of everything" buying spree, just pick me up one of whatever it is you're getting. If you're having fun now, just imagine how much fun you'll have when you buy 50% more every time . . .

(I'm gearing myself up for my first bike purchase . . . I've been planning this for eight months now, I just can't seem to get around to pulling the trigger . . . damn congenital cheapness.)

i know exactly how you feel, but i'm used to it by now.  Started off as a roadie, so that was my first exposure to stopping by the LBS for a visit and walking out $300 lighter.  Then I started getting involved in automotive performance.  You think Trisport is expensive....
