Wondering if anyone's training has gone to the dogs this winter, and if so, how do you plan on jumping back in for the spring races? :0

Marmadaddy said it today in another post, so I'llk repete it here and second the idea... I am MUCH more likley to workout if it is on the calander. Find a training plan you like, and then stick to it. If I dont have a plan I go in spurts. I still miss workouts due to injury, ilness, or life, but not nearly as many as I did last season.

It's true, calenderizing it does help a lot.

I tend to set high or unachievable goals with it, and write "swim 1800yd, then run 7 miler" a lot, (But I know I'm only training for a Sprint) and naturally refuse to decrease goal size... which leads to getting down on myself! But I agree, when I am actually healthy, the calendar and daily list that includes the  workouts are vital for people like me There is nothing better than looking in the training log for me and seeing the 3 1500 yard swims, 30 miles of run time, and even an hour of the bike. But that has not been happening lately. I can't wait for the SPRING!!!! (And health!!! And energy!)

Trying to stop myself from falling into the death spiral of not training and eating too much. Winter training is hard cus' 1. work tends to get more stressful in the beginning of the year; 2. gyms are always packed; and 3. it's so fu*king cold outside! Last winter, I think I gained 15 lbs. Ouch. I am definitely not going to let that happened again this time.
