I did several triathlons in 1999 and 2001 in the San Diego area. I started working as a correspondent for NBC News in 2002, which brought training to a screeching halt. I travel...too much. Spent the first 3 1/2 months of this year in Kuwait and Iraq covering the war and decided that....travel or not...I'd get back on that horse when I got home.
So here I am, still travelling, but making time on the road, and at home between my wife and kids to train. I do better with big goals, so I'm thinking about a late 2004 Ironman. We'll see.
If you train in the Atlanta area, send an email.

Mate know how you feel. I was in Kuwait x-mass/new year, plus spend 6 to 8 months away from home a year. I just train when I can.

i train in atlanta but am not nearly close to an ironman level. you might try the tri-atlanta club, they are a very nice and experienced group of people, i am going to join them around march, when i hope to be ready for my first sprint tri. here is their link www.tri-atlanta.org
