Subject: Bad day for tires
I spent way to much time dealing with tires yesterday.
The bad thing was this was my day off. So I was leaving the office around 10:30 yesterday morning when I saw that I had a flat. I figured that I could have it patched fairly fast so I took it to the tire place by the mall. They said it would take 2 hours. So I go to watch a movie at the mall, turns out they don't start movies until 1 or 2. So I walk around the mall and I am carring a fairly big box with me (I had to pick up a package for my girlfriend at the post office and didn't want to leave it in the car, it was a big expensive purse she had ordered, I don't get it but that's another topic). So after I get my car back I then proceed to run all over town for work. Then I had planned to move my motorcycle from my mom's house to my place. Turns out the motorcycle has two flat tires because I hadn't ridden it in about a year ( I actually see how dangerous they are now). So I had to run back to my place and get my compressor, go back to my moms and fill up the tires. Then I rode the motorcycle back to my place. The plan was to then ride my bike back to my mom's house, throw it in the car and go about my business. I go downstair to my complex's bike storage area and my frame is there but BOTH WHEELS ARE GONE. Luckily it is my cheap mountain bike I bought a few years ago and just ride around town to places I can arrive and not be wearing spandex. BUt still I was so pissed some punk stole my wheels. They stole my wheels because I had it locked on the frame. The guy's bike next to my just had the wheels locked up, so they took his frame and my wheels. So the thing was I figured it was already 4 oclock I wasn't getting anything done so I took my road bike and went on a nice long ride that ended up at my mom's place so I could get my truck. Also I had just picked up my road wheels from the shop to get trued, I was sure something was going to happen with them but they were the best wheels of the day.
Long story but I thought it was strange that I had such tire problems yesterday with everything I touched.

I think I'm going to offer the guy next to me who got his frame stolen a few bucks for his wheels so I can have a whole bike again.

Dude, wanna grab lunch? What's that little Cuban place next to Mott & Hester's (across from Publix on DM)? I was thinking of maybe going there. I'll check with Jeff, too. His car was broken into AGAIN last night - he could probably use some friendly company.
