Alright everyone, the weather's getting nice so it's time to get into gear and start training for the up coming season! I'll start things off and volunteer to be the team captain. Just post here to join up and let me know your goals!

Swim 7h
Bike 10h
Run 10h (if we are counting April 1st, otherwise 8.5h)

Okay. I'll play again. It's helpful motivation-wise although race season is rapidly approaching. I so want to do the 700 club challenge but can't as my training plan is more balanced and it's too close to race season to off-balance it like that.

Swim 30000 yds
Bike 400 miles
run 90 miles

Just a warning. If I'm close on anything and need my last weekend's numbers to hit 100%, they won't get posted until May 1st. I get back to Manchester NH from St Anthony's about 11 pm and then have an 1.5 drive back to ME.

Thanks for volunteering to be the captain. I'll join this team. I'll post my goals tomorrow as I am still figuring them out. As far as swimming, wouldn't it be easier to come up with a goal in meters/yards rather than time>

I'll join, but need to do some figuring for my goals.

We're going on a bike trip to Greece this month...lots of slow riding...lot of time on the bike though

You can set up your goals however you want. I picked time for swimming because I plan on doing drills for the beginning of the month until I feel comfortable swimming following the TI plan.

That's great to hear that people will start jumping on board. Just let me know of your goals and I'll get a list up of our team. Go Northeast!

Swim: 15,000 yds
Run: 40 miles
Bike: 30 hours

I will have to convert time into yds when I do ows while on vacation and estimate run miles while gone...hope that is okay. I suspect I may have a lot more bike hours in but want to make a reasonable attainable goal.

If I go straight with time I find sometimes I don't get as much of my work out in as I should.

I'm up for the challenge! I'm an orphan Midatlantic person but I'm hoping you guys will take me!

Here are my goals:
Swim 20,000 yards
Run 40 miles
Bike 10 hours (some trainer, some road)

This will be a definite challenge for me. Though I've done all of these distances/times individually in a given month in the past (well, all but the swimming), I've never done all three distances/times in one month together. This will be a good way to keep me balanced, especially with the swimming which tends to be the workout that gets skipped first!

Hi, Northeasters!  I hope you got outside before the rain today and enjoyed the 75 degree sun!

Please add me to the April team - I need some time to decide on goals, however.

Thank you!

Well....I lived 90% of my life in the NE, so if nobody objects I'd like to join the team (there doesn't seem to be a mid-west team actually starting up...)

Goals
Run: 80 miles
Bike: 400 miles
Swim: 20,000 yds

A big increase from last month, but that's what a challenge is for.

If you're willing to take another refugee from the midwest, I'd love to join this team.  Here are my April goals:

  • 600 minutes bicycling
  • 360 minutes swimming
  • 510 minutes running

Seems to be a typo...swim goal 15,000 not 1500 for me

My husband bought a road bike today, I'm excited that we can ride together now. Tomorrow Kevin, Emily and I are riding....we'll go about 10 miles then I'll leave them for the rest of my 30+ mile ride.

Kathy, I updated your goals. Sorry I misread them, and I hope you have a great time in Greece.

StarGazer, I grew up in Massapequa, where on Strong Island are you from?

Cathrone, of course you're welcomed here. Thanks for joining up!

Let's get our team rolling and get out and enjoy the nice weather now that it's here!

Another displaced Midwesterner...I did grow up in Erie, PA.  I think that's considered northeast.

jpcan, thanks for heading this up!
