Subject: Question for those living and training in the UK
I was swimming the other day and I was wondering what side of the lane they swim on in the UK since we swim the same way we drive. No wonder I lost count of what legnth I was on in that set, I am thinking about weird things.

Good question and I'll explain why.......

In my local pool the 'medium' lane swims on the right hand side eg anti-clockwise, but the 'fast' lane swim on the left, clockwise. I've always wondered why that is but have no idea. If we were to bring the cars in then we would obviously all drive on the left.....

ahh, I'd wondered about that.  In my local pool some lanes go one way and some another, so I keep having to check the boards at the end to see which way I should be going!  Perhaps there is some method behind the madness after all...!!  thanks Damon!
