Comments: At six miles I thought it was a breeze. First 10 miles went well. By mile 13 I could hardly pick up my legs. Started to trip over rocks. Strangely, I got really hungry toward the end. Wished I had a power bar with me. Not much water the last three miles. What would you do differently?: For my ability this was a good effort and I am very satisfied. Hope to do better next year. I want to work on my endurance. Post race
Warm down: Double iced mocha, water, gatorade, oranges, banana, cookies. What limited your ability to perform faster: My legs just about quit working near the end. I think just improving my longer runs and events will help a bunch. Event comments: I indicated that there were many water stations, and there were, except for the last three miles which is where I really needed it. I was super impressed with how well the course was marked. I had never run that trail before, but I was never unsure about where to go. Also every mile marker was well placed.
