Run
Comments: Didn't race this at all and used it to get mileage in. Same course as the Reston 10 miler I did in March. Hilly loops around Reston, starting and ending at SLHS. Saw Brad and Meg at the start who were on their 20 miler. Brad ran the first mile with me. It was overcast, but insanely humid. Walked a few times - mostly at the end. Took a GU at mile 3 and Gatorade at mile 6 and water besides that. Stomach felt unsettled and I had a dull headache for most of the run. Legs felt awwful on the hills and I was exhausted at the end. I knew this would be a tough run following yesterday's century so I am glad I got 10 miles of it in with others. Everything was pretty achy by the end - all joints. And my right arch was bugging me for nearly the entire run. I need to be better about stretching/rolling/wearing the PF sock. What would you do differently?: Not ride 100 miles the day before. Post race
Warm down: 1 mile CD run to get my long run of 14 miles in. What limited your ability to perform faster: Century the day before Event comments: PRR races are well run. They always do a good job. Last updated: 2011-09-21 12:00 AM

Local race starting at SLHS.
Ran 3 mile WU before race as I was using this as a training run for my long run.
Was humid out and I was drenched after the warm up.
