So for those who use either which one is the better choice and what is the main difference besides price.  I want to upgrade my watch and its down to these two.  Any input would be great thanks

I don't know the difference between these two, but as far as the 405 goes, I'd go for the 405cx if possible.  Mainly because of complaints of problems with the touch bezel on the 405 that seems to be not an issue with the cx version.

Well, I originally sold my 405 to get the 310 then got rid of it to get the 410. Now I am back to the 405. It still handles everything I like just fine and has the best feel in my opinion.

the 405 is the best deal these days.  People recently picked it up at Target for right around $100.  Wow!  Personally, I love the touch bezel, but it does get touchy and finnicky if wet.

the 405cx is the same as the 405, bezel wise.  It includes firmware which provides a more accurate calculation of calories used, based on heart rate.  oh, and it's blue instead of black or green.

the 410 is the one that fixed the bezel to work when wet.  other than the bezel touch differences, the watch is the same.

if you run in the rain a lot, or are a big sweater- then go for the 410.  I live in the desert, and the 405 works perfectly for me.

I have had the 405 for about 5 years and love it. Yeah the bezel can be a little touchy if wet but not to bad. Sometimes I just lock it if it becomes an issue. My only complaint has been the sometimes difficult task of locking into a satellite. It use to lock in pretty quick, but now seems to take awhile. The last 2 marathons I did I was unable to pick up a satellite until well into the race. Very frustrating. If I try to lock in too early, then the watch will time out and you have to start over again trying to find the satellite. Overall, still love it though.
