I been going back and forth on building up a PowerTap training wheel set, and decided to use an unused set of Zipp 404 Aluminum Clinchers.

I ordered a 2012 20H PowerTap.

Spoke with a Zipp rep and she said that they don't recommend that build anymore, but have said that a lot of people have been okay.  Found that spokes broke a lot.

Does anybody ride this set up?  Any issues so far?

How much do you weigh?  No crits? If you use sapim cx-ray spokes it should not be a problem with proper tensioning.

I'm currently at about 197 and expecting to drop some more.

Won't be riding any crits.  Just training for triathlon.

So with all the input, decided to return the Power Tap hub and got a Quarq.

May look to sell the 404's now.
