Swim
Comments: Race started late and tide was going out. So, the bouys were right at the point where the waves were breaking. Got rolled a couple of times and it was so shallow in spots that my arm was hitting bottom during pull. What would you do differently?: Just keep swimming Transition 1
Comments: Good transition. New Oakleys helped. The arms are narrower ao aero helemts fits over them easier. Waited longer than usual to get feet into shoes and think that made it easier. Bike
Comments: First off let me say that I hate people that knowingly draft for miles. There is always a group of masters men that arre beasts on the bike that hook up and draft a good portion of the race. The 2nd guy in my AG passed me just after the turn around. He was tucked in with them. I was tempted to tuck in but dropped back and let them go. Second I felt like I was in no man's land during the bike. No one to really pace off of. What would you do differently?: Tuck in with the fast guys for a little while. Transition 2
Comments: Struggled a bit getting feet into shoes for some strange reason. Run
Comments: Was all over the place with my pace. Not sure if it was the new course or lack of run/bike bricks. But really couldn't find a good comfortable pace What would you do differently?: Push harder sooner Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Not running the run course before hand. Event comments: Race started late so surf was breaking right on the bout line. Awards cermony was almost an hour later than planned. Other than that this is a really fun course. Last updated: 2012-01-03 12:00 AM
