Comments:

Very hot, dry run on old cane road. Was not prepared for the heat. Rolled my ankle the day before and wasn't sure I was even going to be able to run, but seemed mostly OK on race morning.
What would you do differently?:

I think I started too fast, so will slow down at the start next time. Should have been easy to negative-split, but was wilted by the heat at the turn-around.

Heat and injury.

Event comments:

Despite my average performance the race was a lot of fun and well-organized. I even won a $50 restaurant gift certificate as a raffle prize! I will know better to prepare for the heat next year.
