Pre-race routine:

carb loading on Friday evening. Rested all day Saturday.

What would you do differently?:

I need to relax a bit on the start...I'm always nervous on the starting shot and then my swimis a bit all over at the beginning. I can feel when I'm really flying but it takes me 1/2 mile to get there

By the time I get to transition I'm settled a little better this time. In past I'm breathless all the way to first 1/4 mile on the bike but htis year I was less out of breathe.

not use the heart rate monitor

tough course for me, but this year my feet were not in pain, my hands didn't fall asleep, using aero bars helped a lot. Managed to keep my pace up and felt pretty good about how I was doing

slow this time, not sure why. Ithink I had some trouble locating my spot despite good landmarks..missed by a length of rack and took me a min to correct.

Warm down:

danced in the T2 tent to relax my muscles, ate fruit and some lunchmeat and got a quick massage.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my run speed needs work
