Comments:

Nice day for a run, cool and windy. Wife said we'll start out slow, she & my son promptly left me after 100 yards! I stayed very consistent to the plan & did not push it until the end. Felt my calf once or twice along the way but nothing to stop me. I know that threshold point. Finished strong almost caught my wife (only 12 sec back) by simply picking up the cadence over the last mile or so.

What would you do differently?:

Nothing, still in the base build mode

Warm down:

Nothing, hung out then left to get ready for the Turkey! Close friends stated calling my "Gary" as in Spongebob's snail pet since this is the 2nd time this year my wife has beat me in a run race!

Event comments:

Nice race for a good cause (diabetes), 7th time doing it since 2003. Flat out and back course and the kids had a good time too.
