Subject: clothing

Hi all, im nath

Im going to do my 1st tri at the gower this year, training is going good so far (fingers crossed) i just need a bit of advise about clothing and equipment please. Im not sure about what to wear under a wet suit. Do people wear tri suits under wet suits or just compression shorts etc. Can anyone help.

Hi Nath, I'm Darren. Which tri are u doing at Gower? What's the distances? I'm new to tri also, my first will be in May in Llanelli. I've bought a tri suit to use under my wetsuit, I think there is no advantage over wearing a top and short combo though. Just make sure you use tri specific shorts and not cycling shorts as they are quite different. Where are u from?

Wear your tri suit under your wetsuit or you can buy tri shorts and a tri top. For my first tri in mumbles last year I wore my swim suit then put my shorts and a vest on top during transition. Under no circumstances can you get naked!!!
