2013 Floods

I live in Citadel... all ok. I am racing at 10:50 am in Edmonton this morning. The Coates family (both daughters on national tri team) lost their home from what I heard.

Did you see Tri It did a clothing drive yesterday?

High and dry in Charleswood. I'm working near Center St just north of the Bow. The contrast between the view of downtown devestation as I ride along the ridge and the normalcy a couple of blocks north is very strange.

I was entered with a team from work in the Kananaskis 100 mile relay on Saturday. I guess there's always next year.

We are also very high and dry on the 13th floor and our house which we have just sold and closes tomorrow is fine also. My step-daughter lives around 17th ave is dry but hasn't had power since Friday morning at 6am. Thankfully since it is summer that isn't a big deal really except for moving the food from the fridge.

I did a long bike ride attempting to go around Glenmore yesterday but had to turn around in three different spots. This was the first ride in my new neighbourhood so I wasn't sure what to expect when I left. Of course a very small inconvieniance on my part is nothing compared to many others.
