It's that time of year for benefits enrollment, and I'm in the market for recovery boots. Is a prescription required for the Normatec boots? Can FSA dollars be used towards them? The Recovery Pump website advertises theirs are over the counter, but I cannot find any information on the Normatecs. Anyone have a coupon code?

Not sure where you're located, but Rev3 sold a bunch of their demo models at Rev3 Florida last year at a steep discount. That might happen again. If it does, might be worth it to get in touch with someone racing or local to the race to pick up a pair for you.

You don't need a prescription for NormaTecs. Not sure about FSA $$ though - I think it's possible. You can contact NormaTec directly for that one.

I soooo want a pair of these.  I got to use them for the first time after Rev3 Cedar Point and they are pure freakin heaven (just don't inadvertently pull them up too high, the nether-regions will not be happy once they inflate).

Just gave them a call. No prescription required for the MVP model, and they are not eligible for FSA dollars. Crap.

So how does this “overreaching” differ from over training? It is a matter of degree and incorporating ample rest and recovery and sensible training progressions.

Good swimming is relaxed swimming. Relaxed swimming depends on practicing the best techniques and the best body position.

Your training plan is a guide but you don’t blindly follow it. You shouldn’t know exactly what you are going to do until the day you are to do it.
