Subject: RE: fuji bikesI looked at fuji bikes before I bought a road bike. I ended up getting a Motobecane Vent Noir. My bike is 7005 aluminum with Tiagra and 105 components. My crank is Truvativ. The reason I went with Tiagra was because with Sora shifters you have to shift down with a thumb button instead of the fingers like Tiagra-->Durace. I am happy with my road bike, but in some ways wish I would have waited to get a tri specific bike. I think I will always be wanting the next level of bike no matter what I have, so I have just decided to ride what I have until I am good enough to say that my bike is limiting further progression. Plus, it is always fun passing those people with more expensive bikes.
I would say that the main thing you are looking for in a bike brand is the frame geometry and materials. Everything else is components (which you can compare independantly ), the paint and the quality of weld (I doubt if too many of us are going to stress our frames to the point that the welds will break ). |
