Subject: WTB - TriBike 56-58cm under $1000
Hello,

I'm training to compete one of my lifetime aspirations of an ironman by next year. I'm competing in A Tri in the Buff intermediate distance this weekend on my dad's 1980's Fuji and would like to get a good back for a 1/3 and 1/2 ironman later in season. If you can advise / guide me I would greatly appreciate it. I am 6'1/2" and 203 lbs.

I'm looking for any advice - related to the bike - yes size, frame type, anything to consider on entry-level purchase yet looking to do a full ironman with it. I am considering doing a full fitting as well. I went to an apparently reputable bike shop in Buffalo this week and a person on the sales team told me I couldn't get a bike for under $1800 which I took with a grain of salt as they had some older model closeouts in my price range of under $1000 sitting on their sales floor (??) and we did not discuss use options either. Thanks for any insight you may be able to offer.
