What would you do differently?:

Ease up on first lap

Comments:

Stuffed after first 2km, but slowly got a bit better. Still tired for whole run. Wind was strong and cold coming off lake. Body temp dropped! Used supplied poncho for 1.5 laps. Came right last half lap...becuase finish wascoming I think!
What would you do differently?:

Back off a bit on ride. Save some for run.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Did not anticipate a wind change of direction, and increase in strength. Couple with cold rain off the lake made for a tough run!

Event comments:

Extremely well run. A great, albeit long, day out!

I just finished the NYC marathon on Sunday and I think I'm going to venture into triathlons. I am doing an Olympic distance and I want to do a 70.3 next year too. Any advice?

I just finished my first Ironman - New Zealand, sub 12 hours. I am looking to improve my performance through training but wondering what equipment would help me towards a better performance?

TriLover recently had the opportunity to interview Tim and Nicole. Read what the DeBooms had to say about triathlon, their support for each other and life.

My expectations for the quality of this years’ Triathlon world championship were fulfilled. This was because of the superb location that is like no other along with having the top triathletes present.

There is a marvelous destiny out there waiting for you too, but only if you are willing to take chances and put yourself on the line.
