Swim
Comments: The water was so hot. Went at a fairly easy pace just to keep from overheating. There were 2 girls in my wave that I should have drafted off. They took off and I was drafting off another girl. She slowed down and by the time I figured it out I couldn't close the gap. Ended up swimming by myself. again. What would you do differently?: I need to figure out who I should draft off before we start swimming. How to accomplish this, I don't know. Transition 1
Comments: I took a few extra moments in transition. The hot water really had me going. I put my shoes on and then had to bend back down to strap them. Just not as efficient as I know I can be. What would you do differently?: Be more efficent. Bike
Comments: Tried to get hr down the first few miles. Then I just decided to go for it. The course is fast but the riders are much faster. I think this course draws a lot of good cyclists. New Beth Bike Speed record! What would you do differently?: I'm done riding a road bike on these triathlons. I'm going to invest in a tribike. I'm tired of getting passed by them and feeling inferior as they tell me I'm doing a good job. It must be how I feel when I pass people not in clip shoes or on hybrid bikes. Transition 2
Comments: there are diffidently inefficiencies here that I can work on. What would you do differently?: Take helmet off while running in. Rack bike correctly the first time. Have full bottle moved to front cage when front bottle is empty. Run
Comments: The new beth bike speed record probably cost me a minute here. I had to walk twice and looking back I really wonder if I "had" to or if I just wussed out. Hr was 185-ish when I looked and felt like I would be sick. but maybe I could have pushed through. I will never know. What would you do differently?: Push through and see if I really do get sick. drink more water at the start of the run. Post race
Warm down: walked around, ate fruit. What limited your ability to perform faster: The humidity was certainly a factor as is my actual bike. Event comments: As everyone else states the SWAG is pretty good. The course was great and I really enjoyed the feel of bigger competition. I don't think I will do this every year but I would love to do this again every few years. If I lived near here it would be an annual event. Everything started on time and was well organized. The volunteers were plentiful and happy. Last updated: 2016-04-21 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5am left hotel at 5:40. Took exactly 30 mins to get there. Ate half a blueberry muffin in the car.
Swam out and back to the first bouy a few times. I made extra sure I was aiming at the correct bouy this time.
