Subject: Mueller helping GOP Here's an interesting twist:
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2018/05/04/mueller_probe_...
"This is a battle between the forces of permanent Washington and the forces of voters outside of Washington," said Dallas Woodhouse, the executive director of the Republican Party of North Carolina. "Voters see themselves in this fight with the president. ... They do not like being told by the Democrats that they are gullible and stupid and manipulated by the Russians."
I think they may be on to something. Support for the Mueller probe dropped from 60 to 52 in the last month according to a recent poll. But more importantly, the constant trashing of Trump by the media calling him a moron, idiot, incapable of anything, he never should have been elected president, running a chaotic WH, bla, bla, bla.
The problem with this is you are indirectly insulting 60 million Trump voters. The subliminal message is "you people are uneducated idiots for voting for Trump. We told you not to vote for him but you did it anyway and now you are paying the price." Problem is, most people are NOT idiots and it really pizses people off when you call Trump stupid because, in essence, you are calling ME stupid. |
