Broken Rear Derailleur Hanger, Cervelo P2

I had the same issue. After years of wanting to purchase a Cervelo triathlon bike, I experienced the same unfortunate incident, After several emails Cervelo confirmed that this was not covered under warranty - my bike was virtually brand new (<300 miles) and the break resulted from a routine ride up a steep hill. Their response was that it would take great force to make such a break - I was with other riders - none on a Cervelo - and there was no "great force." Their bikes completed the ride. In the end I have an expensive, but now useless bike in my garage. Sorry I could not help with some direction to assist you, but hopefully others will learn from my experience with Cervelo.

I am unable to use a couple of gears, but it works well. I’ve been riding my bike since last year and have a couple of 70.3s on it since the incident. I do still think it’s a poor design on the part of Cervelo however.
