Racist comment

"You're out of your cotton-picking mind"

I just read where that phrase is racist! Go figure. My granddaddy and my grandmother both picked cotton as kids. Dad said they used to argue about who had to picked more cotton. Granddaddy said every day after school he had to pick a burlap sack full or cotton during harvest before he could do anything else.

On a related not, the song "Jimmy Crack Corn" is racist song.

I remember singing this song as kid in school....had no idea what it meant or the origin of the lyrics. I just thought it was a fun song....I probably thought "OK, so Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care...I don't care either."
