Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: Ghost guns Is it a free speech issue or gun issue? Frankly, I think is doesn't matter. What one mean can do another can do. If the technology exist it will not be contained. If the technology exists to make a 3D gun invisible to metal detection it will never be contained. If Joe Blow can come up with the blueptint file, so can I. Might take me a week or a month or 6 months but if it is doable, I can do it. And so can terrorists. It's a dangerous slope when the gubment decides what you can and cannot post to the internet. BTW, if you don't/can't post the "blueprints" can you post how to build your own blueprints? I'm a woodworker and can build pretty much anything out of wood. Been doing it for 30 years. Show we a picture and I can build it. Period. I don't need plans or a blueprint. I can figure out dimensions. I have the tools. Metal workers are the same way. |

But I can trade my wood lathe for a milling machine and make my own guns if need be. Most of my guns are off the grid anyway having been inherited or bought at garage sales, etc. I will die with a couple of guns in my house. But still fun to think of the money I could make selling 'invisible', off the grid guns. Oily craps, surfing internet with Trump on in the background on TV at some rally and the crowd is going nuts! Gotta be making the MSM/dems squirm |

29 | Subject: RE: Ghost guns It's an ignorance issue. 80% receivers have been around a lot longer and are more durable and cheaper than anything 3D printed. A person with no experience can complete the receiver with a drill press. There are plenty of videos and instructions out in the internet that show how. No uproar about those though. |

Yeah, it’s all political political from people who are ignorant/afraid of guns. |

LMAOOO Yeah this was another ready-fire-aim move by the environmentalists. I saw a picture of a box of paper straws at Starbucks with a message that this was a move to "cut down on single use plastic". Each paper straw was individually wrapped.....in plastic. I think plastic bottles are much more harmful to the environment. But I have to admit, I'm a big fan of bottled water. At home I drink tap water but if I'm in a car, I always have a bottle of Evian.....which, ironically is naïve spelled backwards. Wonder if that was intentional? At the lake and I have an ice chest full of Evian. But I digress. My wife tries to recycle plastics and keeps a garbage can in the garage with plastic bottles. She has found out if she does not rinse out Coke bottle they can will attach bees and flies and starts to stink. She rinses them out! OMG. I told her she is wasting water and electricity to pump the water trying to recycle a little bit of plastic. SMH. She ignored me as she always does when she feels strongly about something. Semi related war story....literally a war story. I was scuba diving in the lagoon at Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. I found to heavily encrusted beer bottles. I soaked them in vinegar (a mild acid) and they cleaned up like new. One has a date on the bottom "44" and the other one had "42" on it. So back to the war......the Japanese easily took over the Marshallese early in the war. The US took it back! While the Japanese held the island they held 9 Marines captive they had captured when the marines fought at Makin. They are believe to have been executed by the Japanese on Kwaj. One time when I was there an archeologist was doing an excavation. Research had suggested a possible location for the 9 missing Makin Raiders. RE the Korean vets having been returned....it is true, there are organizations that continually are working to bring home remains of fallen soldiers! Unfortunately at Kwaj they did not find any remains of the Makin Raiders. So anyway, I have the two 1940s WWII era beer bottles on a shelf at home. I like to think a couple of marines were in a boat in the lagoon chilling with a couple of brewskis and tossed them overboard......only to be found 60 years later. What they considered garbage is not one in my 'treasure' collection....a memory of those American who died taking back the Marshall Island. |

Pro 6838 Tejas | Subject: RE: Ghost guns Bottled water gets my goat. Evian ( I agree, it tastes the best out of all I've tried ) bottled in France and shipped over to us. Fiji water, even further to ship to us. They bottle water, box it, put it on a ship and sail it all the way to the US, where oddly enough, we already have a crapton of our own water sources. No the greenest use of our energy to say the least. If someone could just train those smart alecky dolphins to pull a barge. |
