Subject: Bike light
I was looking to get a front and back light for my new road bike. Initially just for increased road visibility (strobe setting), but was out running early over the weekend and saw a few people riding on a nice smooth road before dawn and realized I would probably utlize for some early morning starts for long rides too. So, what is a bright enough light that I will get good enough visibility averaging over 20mph and being able to see far enough in front of me with minimal to no daylight?

Subject: RE: Bike light
I work in DC & ride in/out to the burbs. Zero light... lots of deer. To give you an idea, during fall/winter, I run a 750 lumens on my handle bars & another 350 lumens on my helmet (& whatever tail lights come with the package). My average speed is 20+ miles per hour.

So, depending on your situation, this may be overkill. But it's for reference. And to your question: NiteRider lights have proven super durable/reliable.
