Swim
Comments: Felt really good on the swim, stayed out to the side and back of the group so not to get caught up. I could have done a little better job going cross river, especially on third leg I was way off line and had to come back to the buoy. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: Felt like I have gotten better at T1. T1 was a decent distance from swim exit, so just tried to get there without sprinting. Having trisuit (2 piece) helped not having to put on shirt or peel wetsuit. Bike
Comments: I really like this bike course. I felt really comfortable on this course after having done the race last year. 18 mph is my fastest pace so far so I was happy with that. Transition 2
Comments: I did alright in T2. Tried to gather myself a bit and grab some oranges on the move on the way out. Run
Comments: I felt pretty good on the run course. I was starting to get a bit hot, but managed to finish fairly strong before it got too hot. What would you do differently?: Longer runs and continue to do a sprint day a week to decrease times. Post race
Warm down: Nothing much, just walked around a bit to cool down. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing on this day. Event comments: Huge fan of Riverbluff. I felt great this year and ended up taking 20 minutes off my time from the previous year. Joe and his folks at Above the Fold Events do an incredible job of hosting events. All pre-race communication is excellent. There were plenty of post-race activities and nutrition provided. I will continue to race with Above the Fold Events as often as I can.
