I am having trouble finding the geometry of this bike online.
What is the stand-over height and how tall would of a rider would it fit?

How many miles?
Has it ever been crashed?
Are there any scratches on the frame?

No crashes.

As for miles, here computer reads 990 miles. I believe that to be correct.

As for scratches on the frame, the only thing I located was some markings on the TREK decal on the downtube. I'll be happy to take some close-up photo's if you would like to see in more detail.

Other questions, please ask.

Sure, I would like to see some pictures.
Will you ship to Canada?

Picture should be attached.

Should not be a problem to ship to Canada but I could not do it for free. I use a local bike shop for packing/shipping and would need to check with them on a estimated cost. If interested, I'm sure we can work something out that is fair to both of us.

Very nice all carbon bike.

I noticed it retailed for around $2,800.

I just wonder why this bike (Trek 5200) is so much. Now days, you can get a Trek Madone or a Giant (can't recall the type), full carbon for around $1800.

The Giant I saw in shop was $1800 with full Ultegra components. I also found a Specialized full carbon with a mix of 105 and Ultegra for $1600.

Was this bike just really expensive in 2004? Or is it that much in 2006/07 as well?

Sorry to ask... I have been looking around for a good deal on an all carbon frame with Ultegra compoments... but if I can get a new bike for $100-$300... why would I buy used? Not trying to be rude... just trying to figure out why this one is worth more than the Giant or Specialized.

In my opinion I prefer the Trek 5200 over a Giant or Specialized. Probably many counterpoints to either bike but after riding a 5200 (myself and my wife) for many years, they are a tough bike to beat.

As for the current pricing of Madone's, the 2007 Madone 5.0 retails for $2,799.99 (plus tax) per the Trek Website. If you can get a 2007 for that price I would jump on it.

Ah right... The Madone was around that price.

The Specialized and Giant were not.

Do you know if there are different levels of carbon? What makes one better than the other?

This bike is OCLV 120 Carbon, Trek also makes a OCLV 110 Carbon.

I am not an engineer so I hate to advise you on the various carbons.

In a nutshell it deals with rigidity, weight and strength. If you go to the Trek website there are plenty of details on their Carbon manufactoring process.

Also, there is a nice article on the website about the frames being handmade in Waterloo, WI. Another plus in my book.

Sounds good! Thanks!

OH...BTW... the carbon Giant TCR- was orginally $2300 marked down to $1800. I stand corrected.
