I try to life weights 1-2 times a week but it's barebones type deal whereby I spend about 15-20 mins on weights in between biking and running or just after one of those. What sorts of free weight or machine weight routines would be best to maximize limited time and to help boost specifically all three tri sports??

I always thought this first article was a great triathlon-specific weight plan with ideas on how it changes during your training/racing period:

Periodized Strength Training Program

and also try: Strength Training for Triathlon

A nice article by Mike Ricci if you are Time-Constrained: Weight Training: What if One is Time Constrained?

My basic lifting takes 40min start to finish. 10min jog to warmup and then i do 2 or 3 sets of Bench, Shoulder Press, some kind of Lat workout, Squats, Lunges, step ups and finish up with some abs. If you skip the jogging and abs you could do it all in about 20 min.
