Run
Comments: This was my very first running event so I did not choose to chip or place in my age group although I should have...I ran my best run ever! My first mile came in at 9 minutes and my 2nd and 3rd miles were slower due to the hills, but I felt strong the entire way. The sense of accomplishment was incredible and my family was there to celebrate with me when I crossed the finish line. My next goal is to run a 10k and then eventually work my way up to a 1/2 marathon. The event was awesome and very organized with live music at every mile marker, plenty of supporting fans cheering everyone on, and fun events to participate in after the run. The atmosphere made it that much more enjoyable. What would you do differently?: I wish I had a time chip and could record my offical time. Although the clock showed 35.28 when I came in, due to the crowds it took a 1.40 minutes to get to the starting line...that's when I started my stop watch. Post race
Warm down: Walked 1/2 mile and took in plenty of water at the finish What limited your ability to perform faster: Hills Event comments: WONDERFUL event and will do it again next year! Last updated: 2007-04-30 12:00 AM
