This is a little community run which coincides with the Pride Day events down in West Hollywood. Two years ago, I entered the 5K with a couple of friends as a way to launch operation don't be a lazy sack of dung. Returned the following year to race the 10K and set a PR.

Decided to make this one a training run. Went out quickly (21:45 at mile 3), then settled in at about 7:30 per mile. Made a little sprint at the end to pass a couple of runners and ended up third in my AG.

Seems like the organizers are having a hard time keeping this race alive, as the field keeps shrinking and sponsors disappear. I hope they'll find a way to keep it going. Friendly folks out early for a good cause.

Went out a little too fast, but the second half felt good. I was happy to hold 7:30/mi pace while bringing the intensity down a couple of clicks. Didn't do much to warm down afterwards, and I can feel a twinge in my knee as a result. Who's the dumb@ss?

Didn't do one. Stupid.


I hope they (Frontrunners LA) can keep this event on the calendar. Seems like it may be on its last legs.
