Swim
Comments: Swim was very choppy I didn't have much of a problem because I can bilateral breath so I just switched to breathing off of my left side. I think this race was a little longer than a 1/4 mile though because I am pretty consistent with my times and I was a little long here and I felt like I was going pretty good. What would you do differently?: Worn a wetsuit Transition 1
Comments: no problems in T1 What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: Very hilly course, lots of people walking bikes as the hills were long as well as steep. I think it was more like 16 miles as per my bike computer I averaged 15 MPH and was over 16 miles. Although the hills were steep they were also steep downhill, at one point I hit 45MPH and had to ride the brakes a little because the bike started to squirly a bit. I usually averag 18 to 19 MPH so as you can see by my time this bike course was challenging. It was a fun challenge What would you do differently?: Ride even more hills and lose even more weight. Transition 2
Comments: no problems here. Run
Comments: legs felt good, can't really complain I used to run 12's in my first couple of Tri's. Post race
Warm down: Walked around letting muscles cool down waited with camera for Tribarbie to finish. Drank some Diet mountain dew My favorite which I limit but not after races. Last updated: 2004-09-20 12:00 AM

Got to Race at 6:00 AM with Wife (tribarbie) who was also doing the event, Aired up tires, set up transition, and just tried to relax taking in all the commotion.
Did a short jog around the parking area to get warmed up prior to the swim. Had a banana and bagel for breakfast along with 1/2 bottle of gatorade.
