Subject: Resting Heart rate has risen. Having started working out - with a fair amount of rigor, I have noticed that when I take my resting heart rate at night it is elevated. Usually it was between 58-60 but now tends to run about 70.
I wore a heart rate monitor last night on my bike workout. 11.83 miles in 30 minutes on the lifecycle - level 5 random and was pretty constant at 150 -155. So within my training zone. Does the resting rate elevated mean that I should cut back on the intensity a little bit? I always take Sundays off regardless, but need I reduce other days as well?
I just want to be sure to be ready come August.
Also, I have been Checking blood pressure and that has fallen way off. Running about 113 - 60 when resting. Edited by getting fit to tri 2004-01-22 7:51 AM
