My tri-bike is named Stanley and my road bike is named Spike. Many people think I'm nuts because I named my bikes but I like referring to them with a name vs. road bike/tri bike. |

Extreme Veteran 665 Vancouver, British Columbia | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps GREAT JOB PINKS!!!! We're just using a bit of road race tactics sitting in third. Drafting and letting the top teams use up their energy so we can blow right past them!!! I have family in town this week so I am going to struggle slightly to get the miles in, but I will so back off with that cattle prod. |

Pro 4216 Sous Mon Diadème | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps You peeps are so quiet today... does that mean you're up to no good??? I sure hope so . So I was just looking at the spreadsheet and I see that several of you already put in the miles/hours for this week. However, I would assume that we are looking for cumulative totals each week given that we need to know the % of goal each of us has met by the end of the week. In other words, you can just take your total bike time/distance for the month and plug it into week 2... at least that's my take on it. I'll double check with Dee...

In all the other pictures I have, I am just standing there posing for the timer on my camera. Not quite the same. And its from my first tri this weekend. I think I'll actually throw down the money and get a nice copy of it.

I say "do it"! That is an awesome pic. It looks like you were having cold weather. I am a big baby when it comes to riding in cold weather.......I just DON'T. |

Dee's not running the challenge this month. The spreadsheets (except for Jen's team and my team) were written by our lovely challenge organizer, Super Cat. So you'll have to ask her those questions. I just uploaded her spreadsheets and set the options so that everyone could update them.... (Gee, I feel so useless. LOL) - Dee |

Yeah, but Dee is working at "werk" all day and all night. (Yesterday was 7:30 AM until 10:15 PM. Can you feel my joy?) But Dee is sneaking onto BT today during "lunch" (consisting of an apple eaten at her desk), so she's answering your message. PS Why am I talking about myself in the 3rd person? Maybe it's because I wish I were someone ELSE right now? Specifically, someone who wasn't working these stupid hours? Yeah, that could be it. |

Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps peep peep Excellent spin therapy tonight. Werk was friggin busy as ever, and I actually said to the spin therapist, "I need to relax tonight, some sprints would be nice." She rocked out with her mix of the XXX and Matrix soundtrack. I even followed that up with some sweet pool action. I love the smell of chlorine in the evening. |

Yes, the week totals are cumulative so you just need to transfer your March total to the spreadsheet when you update each time. Cat is going to fix the % of goal column for us when she has some time and is not swamped with werk. |

Extreme Veteran 665 Vancouver, British Columbia | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps ah, the ever confusing "snug" vs "tight" shoe conundrum. I would say you don't want your heel to move around in the shoe, especially if it wants to slide out. good luck. |

I'm actually getting ready to head down to the aerobics room and spin a little... hooray!!!! I wouldn't buy shoes that are big in the heel. Were they women's shoes (I can't recall if Diadora even makes women's shoes)? If not, you might do better looking for a women specific shoe as I imagine this could be a problem with some other brands as well.

Extreme Veteran 378 Really South | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm going to try to get on the bike tomorrow morning. We have a lot of activities happening in my area this weekend and my biking routes are limited due to heavy traffic flow in a not-so-friendly biking town. I'll be getting up with the roosters to beat the traffic. |

They actually were women's shoes, everything we tried on were woman's. Amy and i both liked the SPecialized Torch (but a little past our price point) Went looking again this morning and.... I HAVE SHOES!!!! They are Louis Garneau's Ergo Air Road $90. They fit pretty good. I love the fact that they are vented on the bottom (I hate hot feet in the summer). They actually come with two insoles (one for warm weather, one for cold). I think I'm going to really enjoy them. |
