Yes, you are doing a fantastic job on the You DO know Im not on this team right? You should be on this team!!! Sorry, I didn't quote the right one. I was actually referring to Bondgirl's very lovely posts... you know, positive reinforcement for being OK with talking to herself . Thanks Mila, I'm a stay at home mum so I spend most of my time talking to myself so now I get to do it on line. It is a toss up between this and rivetting conversations with my son about which is the "painfulest...having your pinky squashed by a train, truck or tram?" My life is rich with conversation! |

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread Slugger - 2008-10-02 4:30 PM Happy Birthday tomorrow, Emily!!! Wow, you are so young.... (I turned 29 in May, I'm an old fart now) LOL so does that mean that in 5 months I automatically turn into an old fart??? PS - Just editing to let you know that my name is Magda, not Emily. Interesting that you should call me that though, because my cat is called Emily *lol* Edited by eurydice79 2008-10-03 12:48 AM |

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread Slugger - 2008-10-02 4:34 PM I'm starting off this challenge with a bang! It was a gloriously stormy and dark morning, so I scrapped the laundry and running plans and curled up with a book and some Kahlua in chocolate milk (which is called a Mexican something or other) and snuggled into my wonderful new furniture. I  storms very, very much. Almost as much as I  fall. October in particular. I will run tomorrow, promise. I *heart* coffee, ESPECIALLY coffee with booze in it! Yuuuummmm |

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread ebshot - 2008-10-02 9:21 PM Okay vamps, here's a quick run down about me. My name is Erica. I'm 29, married with 3 kiddos. This was my first tri season and I had a blast. I am training for a half marathon on Oct. 11 and very anxious for it to get here. I don't think I'm cut out for distance running! I live in the boring state of Connecticut but really wish we still lived in Hawaii. I *heart* Hawaii! I am super competitive and hate to lose so we must win at both the primary challenge and post padding! Let's get running/chatting!!! Yay! Half marathons are awesome. I almost did one - I trained really had but then went away on a 4 week holiday and lost all my fitness The furtherest I ran in training was 18k so I've *almost* run a half mary |

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread ebshot - 2008-10-02 9:31 PM That being said, I bought the Wii yesterday for my crew for Christmas. Truth be told, I love Christmas time. Favorite holiday of the year. Hubby loves Thanksgiving. Okay, Vamps, what's your favorite holiday? I bet Milla loves Halloween!
My favourite holiday is ANY holiday! Especially a personal holiday when I get to go overseas ... but if I had to pick one, probably Christmas time because I get to hang out with family. I'm Polish-Australian, married to an Aussie bloke, so I do the traditional Polish thing on Christmas Eve, and the traditional Aussie/English thing on Christmas Day. It works out really well actually. This year Christmas Day will be at our house, I've taken 3 days off before Christmas just to get all the cooking & cleaning done!!!

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread Offthegrid - 2008-10-02 10:01 PM Hi, vampires. I had to come in to work an hour-and-a-half early. *first whine* I'm not a morning person, but at least if I am working out in the morning I feel accomplished and fit and happy. Now I just feel tired with a very long day ahead of me. *second whine* BUT, the good news is the resting, icing, stretching, massaging and stregthening I've been doing on my Achilles appears to be working. Work up with very little pain this morning. I may go for a nice, easy, flat jog tomorrow and see where that goes. Good luck for your run! I hope the Achilles holds up. Oh and I like your avatar |

Thanks for the birthday wishes! And when I figure out the whole balance thing (which theroretically should come easily to me since I'm a Libran lol) I'll let you know. In fact I'll probably write a book and make lots of money from it!!! |

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread mila - 2008-10-02 10:44 PM Most importantly, I do not like to not win challenges. No really, I mean it. Well, let me rephrase that... I've never been on a challenge team that hasn't won. And this one will be no different. I'm glad we cleared that up. .
I'm totally with you on the winning thing. GO TEAM! |

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread ebshot - 2008-10-03 1:51 AM What's everyone doing this weekend? I'm headed to the fair tomorrow with the kiddos. Keepin' them home from school to go. Priorities you know!
I've got heaps of rehersals for a play that I'm in. We've been rehersing for close to 6 months now, and its FINALLY going to be on next week, for 4 nights. I am really looking forward to it, but I'll also be really happy when its over so I can have more of a life again My husband & I are also renovating our home, so in between rehersing and running for this team challenge, I'll be trying to paint walls and choose new door knobs. My family is coming over tomorrow to help too, and cooking me dinner for my birthday, which coincidentally is today (have I already mentioned that LOL), but because I am working till 7pm today and then going straight to rehersal afterwards they won't see me until tomorrow ... |

Dude, thats a really scary picture!!! Reminds me of IT by Stephen King - I think that guy single handedly started the scary clown thing. The movie was scary enough, but the book was even worse, much more detail!!! |

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: VIllanous Vampires Team Thread joemac3 - 2008-10-03 3:11 AM Pink floyd rocks - they are my favorite band. (along with led zeppelin, art blakey and the jazz messengers, Miles Davis, and Diana Krall) What are your guys' favorite bands?
I have totally crap taste in music. Well thats what my husband says anyway! I like things I can put on my iPod and run to, which means lots of beat and not much substance. Currently on my pod I have Britney Spears, Rhianna, Miley Cyrus to name a few. OK thats embarassing. I can't believe I just admitted this on a public forum ..... |

Wow, does your instructor actually say that? I've never done yoga but I always thought it was just a lot of stretching in weird positions. |
