Subject: RE: Ochsner Ironman 70.3 New Orleans : Official Threadquoting the bear "Not sure what's blasphemous about Italian in New Orleans. The city has a rich Italian cultural and culinary heritage. In the Quarter, Irene's is supposed to be really good, Bacco's is as good as or better than the Bourbon house and run by the same family, Maximo's was a fun place when I lived there. Tony Moran's on Bourbon used to be good, though I think it's gotten a little touristy. If you want venture out of the Quarter, a bunch of us BTers ate at Mandina's last year, good food at moderate prices. Maybe we can see about getting a group together again this year?" i'm coming into nola for race weekend from lafayette on friday evening (a couple hours away ) and staying with family who lives there.....i'd love to meet and eat with yall.......let's keep talking it up and see what comes of it........is the concensus italian cuisine with other lighter fare on the menu? I'll ask my aunt.....in addition once i get my bike to transition my vehicle can carry up to 7, so that would be 4 extra seats after my daughter, wife and I. We'd love to be of help. |
