daisy2908 - 2010-07-08 8:20 PM That ape story was awesome.  Thanks for making my day!

You would have died laughing if you saw it live.

I still wonder how bad my wife would have beat the ape if she could have!!!

Memories that last a lifetime.

I'm cracking up, too!  She could have put the hurt on the ape!  Don't mess with mama bear!!!

One hour trainer ride this morning... bleh!  It's a necessary evil, but it doesn't make it an less tedious.  It was another scorching hot evening last night.  I guess I could call it a nice reprieve since it was only 92 degrees when I got home, rather than over 100 like it's been this whole week.  Went for a swim with the kids... jumped into the pool and the water temp was 90 degrees.  Gee... how refreshing! Undecided  We still had lots of fun.

Half day today to play golf with a vendor.  I just luuuuuuuv "free-golf-free-beer-half-day Friday's"!!!!!
Cool

Oh the simple things in life. They can bring such pleasure and happiness. I got some new cleats for my shoes. Its so nice to have my shoes actually not come off the pedals. And I got the alignment almost perfect on the first try.  Which is so much better then the last pair I put on. I never really got the left one quite right. The new right one is a little sticky but I'm sure it will loosen up.

We have some catching up to do. One of the TDF teams has passed us up on the posting challenge. They have like 30 posts on us and they were behind yesterday by almost 20. We've been such slackers the last day or two. We better get busy.

Ooops, I'm guilty of post-slacking.  Sorry guys!  If it makes you feel any better, I've also been slacking on my TdF posting too Sealed  Shhhh, don't tell my team!

Can I work where you work?  Not that I play golf, but I wouldn't mind the free beer half day Wink

I just realized I haven't been to the pool or beach this summer for non-tri related purposes!  I should try that out sometime.  Maybe this weekend!

I'm not, but I need to taser myself today. I want to go for a wog, but it was over 100F the last time I checked. I'm not going to wog in that..... I guess there's always the treadmill. Treadmill, or taser..... Treadmill, or taser..... I dunno. That's a tough decision.

that's easy.  taser while on the treadmill.  (just don't grab the rails!)

So I'm wondering why I'm living where I live. Its an OK neighborhood. It seems to be going downhill a little over the last few years. We're thinking about moving. And today even more than ever.

My wife is a catalog coordinator and they are working on their Christmas catalog. They found its quicker and easier if they rent a nice house for a week and set up the shots and do their photo shoot in the house and everyone can stay there. So for the next week we are staying in this nice luxurious house at one of the ski resorts in Park City. In fact it is on the slope right next to one of the ski runs. Very nice (the master suite is bigger than one floor of my house). Well, the commute to work from Park City is the exact same drive time as it is driving from my house. Why do I live where I do? Granted, the house in Park City costs ten times what my house does, but I wouldn't have to live at the ski resort. I could go for something a little smaller. There is one for sale down the street that is 1200 sq ft smaller and is going for only 1.5 million.

So I guess which ever team wins the post pad challenge, non TDF or Liquigas, we still win!

Oh no, I'm on the Garmin team!  At least, that's where I've been posting sporadically and logging my progress... Though that'd be funny if I somehow messed that up and was on the "wrong" team, haha.

Doing great. Stepping up the bike riding a little bit, but there is no way I can compete with Super-Bill and his riding abilities.
There's plenty of room for you. The place sleeps 12 and each bedroom has its own full bath.  Here's a link to where we are staying. http://www.utahvacationhomes.com/parkcity_vintage_strand1.aspx
My son was complaining that it is too big.

I would be happy to get to the beach this summer for any reason. We went to Mexico for our little service vacation in June. We went passed the beach several times a day going back and forth with the projects and things we were working on and didn't get to step on the beach once.

That's when you want to get them, with their hands on the rails. You get a better reaction that way.

I guess I'm just going insane. I could swear I saw you posting on the Liquigas team. So I guess the non Tdf team is your only chance to win the secondary challenge. Better get busy post padding.

Forget that house --- MOVE TO FRANCE SO THAT WE CAN VISIT YOU NEXT JULY!

P.S. When buying a house, make sure it's along the TdF route, OK?
