I am coaching my sons basketball team this year and we had our first game last night. It did not go well at all, we got spanked!  It is very frustrating trying to coach while getting a beat down. Only cool thing was when one of our "less athletic" players actually made a shot and he jumped around like he just won the NBA Championship, which was really cool to see.

No big training for me, going to finish up P90X this weeknd, Sunday I have an 8k trail run, and then monday I start my Memphis in May training plan.

This is awesome.  This past fall was my son's first time on an organized team, soccer, and I was the coach.  So, seven 4yo's on the team with four on the field at a time.  You can imagine.  Anyway, some of these little guys were really good, athletic and fast.  We scored a lot of goals.  But, one of them had a really hard time with focus and would get distracted very easily.  He's had some problems with school and so on.  But, one game he scored a goal, not by accident - a legit goal, and I thought I was going to loose it.  He was beaming for the rest of the game.  The best part of the whole season.

Oh man, that's a tough one.  Here's my list:

1.  The Dirty Guv'Nahs -- We'll Be the Light
2.  Eminem -- Mosh (I know, but trust me, the political undertones and hypnotic/angry beat make me want to get after it!)
3.  AC/DC --  Hells Bells (for the intro alone)
4.  BlackBerry Smoke --  I Can Feel A Good One Comin' On
5.  Lenny Kravitz -- Always On the Run

I haven't run with my iPod in awhile so I don't have a list handy, but I'm sure Dogs Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine would be on my short list right now.  It even has a running reference.

Ooh, fun!

1. Linkin Park - Bleed It Out
2. Something Rage Against the Machine
3. Kanye West -  Stronger
4. LaRoux - Bulletproof (see new log title) - subject to change as I get bored with the song
5. My theme song: When I close my eyes - Ozomatli.  I listen to this all the time.  Favorite line:  "Everyday I'm getting stronger, I feel 10 feet tall right now".And it's really fast.

Well, I'm part of the group leading the charge to early happy hour, so I'm of no use to the cause.

You better have some fantastic reason to not run.  I have to do a full hour immediatley after work so I have just enough time to go home get all gussied up so I can go celebrate my friend's birthday.  Just knowing I'll have to be up til like 2am is making me tired.  Oh yea, and I have to go to the dentist in the morning!

So get on it!
