To all who pre-paid for your picures, have you gotten the link yet?  I know some have but I have not.  The company is not responsive to e-mails and does not have a US phone #.

This was my husbands first full IM....he didnt do as well as he would have liked, but he's headed back next year to do it again!

The race was run really well (except the whole bikers being stopped by cops, then once they got going again the race officals showing up trying to penalize them for drafting)  but all the volunteers were AMAZING!! I was a spectator this year im still not ready for a full but after seeing how well it was run and how awesome it was to watch the athletes ill be making the jump from halves to fulls soon

I've heard nothing from them either and have not had any emails returned?

I saw you asked about it on FB and they said soon but that was a few days ago?

In  the future I will not prepay - you'd think they would have ours first since we let them have our cash 9mos early?

I received my links to the downloads on Tuesday.  Although I need to have them add a few pics since I'm not in some of the pics shown under my bib number.

BTW - I'm in for 2012.  Let's do it again!!!

Had an amazing time - it was my first IM, and it totally put every other race I've done to shame. There's just no comparison! Beat my 12 hour goal by 15 minutes too! Now it's over, I'm depressed, and I'm thinking about all the ways I could have gone faster/pushed harder. Looking forward to the next challenge...whatever that may be.

Thanks again volunteers - you guys are incredible!

I definitely had an awesome time. I want to do it again in 2012 for sure. This time I will hopefully do it injury free. I want to hit my goal time of sub-12. I dialed it back on the bike around the 26th mile. Good thing I did, it allowed me to finish the run in not too much pain. Volunteers were awesome.Ready to get back on the bike this afternoon. Been swimming and walking. Ready to spike the heart again. Funny thing is after Sunday, appetite has been gone???. Actually forcing myself to sit down and eat. Just not hungry at all. It this normal? Struggling just to take in 1800 for the day. Feel great though. Congrats again to everyone.

This might be a little late but does anyone now where I can purchase a Finishers Visor. My dad would like me to get him one so he can show his friends what I did.

I just wanted a visor like TJ received when all this first started going down. If you find something let me know.

did anyone use a wheel set that you feel was a great set up?  I do not have enough experiance to know if taper + low wind was the prime reason of my big gains in comparison to training.  I used a cover on my mavic open pro's, but I am already thinking of what to use next year and I wanted some opinions with the race fresh on everyones mind.  thanks

I'm really struggling to decide what to do for 2012. I had a good IM-TX race this year, and beat my goal time by 35-minutes. Went for a long run here in The Woodlands this weekend and realized just how lucky we were from a weather standpoint. Compared to a week ago, it felt so much hotter and the direct sun was much more intense. I struggled to make an hour at a decent pace.

While I'm planning on doing another IM in 2012, I'm not sure that I really want to do the IM-TX course on a typically sunny, hot & humid day. I've been thinking more and more about heading north next year, but I really hate the idea of not supporting the "local" race. I know it's not going to happen, but if they'd move things forward a month to late April or at least early May, I'd be all over it.

Anyway, just thought I'd put it out there.....I'm starting to look at SG, LP, and Canada; but figure I need to decide something one way or another pretty soon.

fattyfatfat - 2011-05-31 11:31 AM pretty cool blog post here.

Michelle (her swim and bike guide) is on my swim team in Denver.  The guides signed up for this 3-4 weeks before the race, as Patricia's guide bailed.  Michelle is super nice but dang, is she FAST.  I need to catch up with her once I feel like going back to swim practice and get her take on the swim and bike.
