Coming down the stairs this morning was not fun, very stiff. Took a handful of ibuprofen, waited about 30 to 40 minutes, run felt ok. Pain still there, but not as bad as yesterday. Could be the ibuprofen though. I think it is just a touch of tendonitis, its been there festering for awhile, but not enough to really notice, and yesterday it just really started to ache. Hopefully it goes away quickly, I'm ready mentally to start some more serious training.

I hope it clears up quickly for you, I have been trying to get my running mojo back since the Achilles and I am now just starting to get there. My runs are still slower than I would like and my mileage is still not where I want it but I am still running.

Day 760, 20.3 wet and windy miles. It is a good thing I have about 10 extra pounds on me or I might have blown away this morning.

Saturday - #146 - 3 miles
Sunday - #147 - 4 miles

Feeling a little achy in my left Achilles area. Do NOT want to mess with that so I cut my long run well short today. It loosened up throughout the run, but it is making me nervous that I ramped up a little too fast in the last month. It really just came on in the last 24 hours or so.

Day 761, 8.2 miles. The last two day it felt like April and not December, I was in shorts. December is back today though.

I'm in a similar situation, although I'd be more scared if my Achilles were acting up, though I'm not sure what I got going on. Did swim, short run, and weights yesterday. I'm far enough out from any races to be very concerned, and am going to be conservative with giving myself a chance to heal up. I'll take it as a good opportunity to cross train.

#429 - 2 mi.

I have been on pins and needles since mine flared up in November. It is getting better but there are still times I get worried because that is one injury that can put us out of commission for quite some time. One thing I am doing is not stretching it, that was recommended to me by the Doc, he is a runner too. He also said to avoid steep hills and run slower. All of which I have been doing.

Day 762, 7.7 miles.

#430- 7 mi.

I didn't really intend to run that long, its just that my leg wasn't bothering me. I actually was going to go longer before I had the thought "Is my goal to run long enough so it starts hurting???" So I stopped at 7 mi.

I probably just aggravated a low grade injury with my changes in training. I've started doing 500 yds of kick sets in the pool, plus the weight training 3x per week.

#432- 5 mi after 2500yd in the pool (3rd day this week!!), also did my strength routine.

Low mileage week to try and let my leg heal up a bit, I still felt too fresh and ran too fast. Ended up doing a progression that finished with a 6:30 then a 6:20 mile, avg pace 6:53 for the run. The smart thing to do would be to truly take it easy. I unfortunately am not known for doing the smart thing.

Saturday - #153 - 3 miles
Sunday - #154 - 2 miles

Did the Sunday run at 1AM...I'm hopping a plane to California in the morning. Being picked up at 6:15AM and wasn't sure I'd get it done, so I ran it out real quick tonight after a few strong beers. Actually felt great, and would've been moving at a very fast pace if I wasn't dealing with slippery sidewalks and such.
