race didnt go very well, at least not as planned but i still finished below 3 Hrs. Except for 2 unknown drafting penalties that totalled 6 mins.  which I am contesting.

This was over 2 weeks ago and no one else has posted anything else...

Jelly - tell us about Alcatraz!  That must have been an awesome experience.
And to all others, let us know your status... I hope you are all racing.

I would love to hear from everyone, too.  I've been checking in, but nothing going on.

My latest news - I've had two great races so far this year.  I finished my Oly in April 2:38:11 beating my PR by more than 20 min.  Then I did a half-marathon yesterday and finished in 2:46:35 beating my PR by 8:30.  I'm thrilled!  I think loosing weight has made the biggest difference.  I am now racing about 20 lbs. lighter than I was last year.  I also feel like I have a pretty strong base at this point.  Now to decide whether to sign up for a HIM in September or not....

Had a good race this weekend at Jekyll Island turtle crawl...

Was dangerously close to a top 10...

12th in div (clydes)
5th in swim
9th in bike
24th in run

27 clydes...

running was better but obviously it still sucks...

Great job Karla & Jason! Awesome to see all the hard work paying dividends for you guys.

It's a great feeling finishing a race and posting a PR!

I have my first Oly Tri this weekend. I feel pretty good about it and mentally, I'm going to have fun and enjoy the event.  I've also posted PRs for my last two events (sprint tri & ~6km run) so I'm feeling pretty well prepared for Saturday.

I wish I could say that I killed it, but I couldn't even make it to the start line. Yell  I came down with a bad fever a few days prior to race day and it didn't break until Sunday.  I was trapped in my hotel room with a 100+F temp.  What a killer!!

I know there are always other races out there, but when you train hard & put so much time into races.  It kills when you can't participate.  This was suppose to be my 1st Oly too!  Now I have to wait until Oct...
